It’s a well-known fact that Adient is the leader in the automotive seating industry – but we’re also a strong player in the IT industry. During my initial interview, that strength really came through. My manager was clearly proud to be part of such a high performing global team – and I realized that this was the kind of job I wanted, too. Since then, I’ve spent more than a decade working at Adient. And I’ve learned that with the right team and the right processes, I can take on any challenge.
People usually think IT is focused only on internal process improvement. But it’s so much more. It’s about our customers. That’s why at Adient IT, we use every available tool to benefit our customers and drive our business forward.
In China, developing and enhancing relationships with our JV partners has been an essential element of our rapid growth. I was in charge of helping our JV partners see the value in Adient’s IT standards. It took time to build their trust, but inevitably our hard work paid off and has contributed to increased customer satisfaction. And while we were improving our processes, we were also supporting our business strategy – proving the value and impact that IT can have.
When I started with Adient, I wanted the chance to experience IT on an international level. As a team player and then as a team leader and now as a department head, I’ve gained that experience – and so much more. Adient offers unprecedented opportunities to advance – not only as an employee, but also as an external partner. For me, there’s no greater achievement than helping my colleagues reach their professional goals.
